About us

In 1985 Rosemarie Jakuba created WRA, as White Rose Accommodation, to develop the regional hotel trade with the Bradford City and Yorkshire tourist authorities. WRA worked closely with these bodies to provide multi-lingual support for hotel trade development visits in the UK and especially across Europe.  Within the first few years, we had also developed as a specialist in supporting Event Organisers, whose needs tend to saturate an area’s accommodation of all kinds. Music Festivals, motorsport Rally Organisers & Rally Teams all began to rely on WRA to ensure that their own hotel needs were met whilst still allowing Events to attract the wider public to attend their locations.

As WRA outgrew the Bradford offices in the early 90’s, the opportunity arose to design & build the current offices near York. This allowed further development of the established WRA brand as WRA Travel Ltd, leading to the expansion of both our team and customer base. WRA has successfully retained regular customers over many years. Clients such as the UK Government’s Mobility Roadshow, the Motorcycle Trade Expo, Championship motor racing and motorcycle Teams, all continue to rely on WRA for their hotel accommodation needs year upon year. In turn, their commercial sponsors have learned to use WRA’s expertise to negotiate and administer their own business hotel needs

Most recently, in 2012 we welcome back the Organisers of the UK Motor Sport Associations’ MSA Euroclassic. This event previously relied on WRA from its inception and for a decade throughout the 90’s, providing hotel research, group bookings administration and on-site representatives along the route for its many overnight stops. Our extensive research with the Organisers and our negotiations with the many hotels involved are now being passed on as benefits to participants.  With our unique experience and friendly helpful staff, we are willing to offer that extra level of service to ensure you get the accommodation you need. Please contact Rosemarie Jakuba-Tate and the team at WRA to discuss how we can help with your Event or Group needs for hotel accommodation.

BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

WRA ensure that Event & Conference Organisers get the accommodation they need for their own staff, and service the needs of those who wish to attend. WRA do NOT compete with the online commodity trade in the buying and selling of generic Hotel Rooms. We offer our extensive market knowledge of the hotel trade to ensure clients receive the very best pricing for their specific needs. WRA also offer Organisers & Teams the control and administration of the multiplicity of group bookings and consolidate the many individual deposit payments which their Events or Championship Calendars require.

DELIVERY & CANCELLATIONS POLICY

  1. Independent & Corporate clients of WRA will make payments directly with the hotel or other accommodation providers, who in their turn will provide their tax-Invoices to clients, usually on departure. WRA will have delivered the services of venue-finder and purchasing-agent to administer client requests for accommodation services. The delivery, cancellation and other terms of the bookings are part of the bookings contract-specific agreements between the client and the providing hotel, summarised in the written confirmations copied by WRA to the client and provider.
  2. Event-Group clients of WRA are frequently expected to provide pre-payment Deposits to their hotels or other accommodation provider. Venue-finding & purchasing-agent services, administration and collation of these Deposits are undertaken by WRA on behalf of the group’s members. These Deposits are transferred to the accommodation providers, as part or full pre-payment of the accommodation services which the providers will deliver and subsequently tax-Invoice directly with clients on or before departure. The delivery, cancellation and other terms of the bookings are part of the bookings contract-specific agreements between the client and the providing hotel, summarised in the written confirmations copied by WRA to the client, provider and by prior agreement to the Event-Group Organiser.
  3. Suppliers of Hotel and other accommodation use WRA to act as supplier-agent, when WRA confirms a client’s booking with that provider. Payment for agent services fall due, on tax-invoice demand by WRA, after payment of the booking has been completed by the client. Cancellations and other terms of the bookings are part of the bookings contract-specific agreements between the client and the providing hotel, summarised in the written confirmations copied by WRA to the provider.
